KUALA LUMPUR, 21 October 2019 - AirAsia has been voted as a top employer in the e-commerce and shared services category at the recent Graduates Choice Awards 2019.

The awards were accepted by AirAsia Southeast Asia (AASEA) CEO Sandeep Devgon and AirAsia Head of People Solution, People and Culture Yazid Misnan from Deputy Director General, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education Prof. Dr. Mohd Cairul Iqbal Bin Mohd Amin, Talentbank Trustee YM Syed Haizam Hishamuddin Putra Jamalullail and Founder of Talentbank Ben Ho.

AirAsia Chief People and Culture Officer Varun Bhatia said, “We are honoured to be voted as one of Malaysia’s top employers. At AirAsia, we don’t just look at skills or experience, but for people who are able to live and breathe our values with passion. Last year, we recruited 4,600 Allstars globally.

“We are also extremely proud to be recognised in the e-commerce category for two consecutive years, an employment category we’ve been working hard to recruit for, as we transform AirAsia into a digital travel and lifestyle company. We would like to thank the organisers and 25,000 undergraduates who voted for us.”

The Graduates’ Choice Award is one of Malaysia's leading employer branding awards, recognising distinction in the private sector and human resource industry. The awards aims to lift Malaysia’s graduate employment rate, equip youth to reach their full potential, and empower leaders of tomorrow.
