AirAsia X flights impacted by Middle East airspace closure

SEPANG, 1 March 2026 - Following the temporary closure of the Middle East airspace, several flights operating to/from the region may experience disruptions, including rerouting, delays or schedule adjustments.

As a result, flights operated by Thai AirAsia X (XJ) to/from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia have been cancelled today, 1 March 2026. 

AirAsia has notified all affected guests via email and SMS on their flight status and recovery options. The situation remains fluid and AirAsia guests travelling to/from the affected destinations are strongly encouraged to check their latest flight status at airasia.com/flightstatus. 

AirAsia is continuing to monitor the situation and will update its travel advisory with the resumption of normal operations.
