AirAsia’s Ipoh-Singapore service takes off

SINGAPORE, 3 December 2018 - AirAsia’s service from Ipoh to Singapore took off yesterday, strengthening the connectivity between the capital of Malaysia’s Perak state and Singapore.

The flight departed Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh at 9.45am and arrived at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 11.00am with a load of 100 percent.

AirAsia Singapore CEO Logan Velaitham said, “This new Ipoh service builds on our efforts to expand our Singapore network, and we hope it will contribute to increased tourist traffic to Singapore as well as Perak as a whole. As a group, we look forward to expand the network to and from Singapore further as we head for 2019. We also wish to thank the Changi Airport Group for their continued support and cooperation.”

To celebrate the new service, AirAsia is offering celebratory fares from as low as SGD50* one way from Singapore to Ipoh. The promotional fare is available for booking on airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app from now until 16 December 2018 for immediate travel through to 5 May 2019.
