Travel Advisory: Thai AirAsia X (XJ) Offers Options For Guests With Flights To and From Japan Which Are Impacted by the Aircraft Fleet Management

Due to ongoing aircraft fleet management and delays getting some aircraft back into service caused by the post pandemic restart, Thai AirAsia X (airline code XJ) will be reducing the number of flights to/from Japan commencing from from 26 March 2023 - 9 April 2023 and from 24 April 2023 - 30 April 2023. In its commitment to minimise inconveniences to all affected  valued guests, the airline is offering the following service recovery options for those who wish to alter their travel plans:

Guests with flights booked  and scheduled to travel to and from Japan can choose the following options:

  • Free Flight Change: You are entitled to a one time flight change to a new travel date of your choice (up to 31 December 2023) from the original scheduled departure date on the same route to the new travel date without any additional cost subject to seat availability. 

  • Travel Voucher: Receive a rebate of the full flight fare in the form of a Travel Voucher to your member account, for use on any future Thai AirAsia X flights (airline code: XJ). Please refer here for Travel Voucher Terms & Conditions.

If you haven't yet linked your booking to your member account, please refer here for details. OR;

  • Refund: You may be eligible for a refund based on the terms and conditions of your flight booking. If you purchased your booking through your pocket, your refund will be automatically credited to your account within 60 days  or will align with the policy of  local regulation.

*Guests affected by the flight cancellation will also get a compensation of 2,000THB travel voucher* which will automatically be issued to the their registered account*
