Travel Advisory: Thailand Mandates Digital Arrival Card for All Foreign Travellers Starting 1 May 2025

Bangkok 17 April 2025 - The Thailand Immigration Bureau has announced that all non-Thai nationals will be required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the country, beginning 1 May 2025.

Completion of the TDAC will be mandatory for all foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travellers, and long-term residents. Exceptions apply only to travellers transiting or transferring through Thailand without passing through immigration control and to those entering using a Border Pass.

The TDAC is designed to replace the traditional paper-based arrival card and is aimed at faster immigration processing, reduced paperwork and improved border security. Usage of TDAC is completely free of charge.

For more information on TDAC, visit the Immigration Bureau official website.
