[Updated as at 6 September 1800hrs GMT +8] Travel Advisory: Sapporo Earthquake

SEPANG, 6 September 2018 - Following a strong earthquake in Sapporo, Japan this morning, AirAsia flights to and from New Chitose Airport (CTS) Hokkaido, Japan listed below will be affected. Flights not listed are operating as scheduled.

Flight departing to/from CTS on 6 - 7 September:-

All affected guests will be notified of their flight status via email and SMS, they will be offered the following service recovery options:

Option 1 - Move flight: One-time flight change to a new departure date on the same route within 30 calendar days from original scheduled flight date without additional cost, subject to seat availability; OR

Option 2 - Reroute: One-time reroute to Tokyo (NRT) for guests traveling on XJ flights within 30 calendar days of the original travel date without additional cost, subject to route and seat availability for flights operated by Thai AirAsia X (XJ) only; OR

Option 3 - Credit account: Retain the value of your booking in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account. The online credit account is to be redeemed for booking within 90 calendar days from the issuance date for your future travel with us. The actual travel dates can be after the expiry date as long as our flight schedule is out; OR

Option 4 - Full refund: Obtain a full refund to your original payment method for the amount equivalent to your booking.

AirAsia flights D7 550 and D7 551 between Kuala Lumpur and New Chitose Airport (CTS) Hokkaido, Japan are operating as scheduled now, but guests traveling on these flights from 8 - 11 September will also be entitled to Option 1 and Option 3 of the recovery options above.
