AirAsia welcomes new board chairman in the Philippines

AirAsia Philippines has appointed lawyer Joseph Omar A. Castillo as its new Chairman of the Board effective September 1 to lead the company as it seeks to sustain its growth.

Atty. Castillo was selected to become chairman after joining the board earlier this year. He previously headed the transport and business process outsourcing practices for Puyat, Jacinto, and Santos Law firm, with over a decade of experience in the fields of infrastructure, labor relations, contract support, immigration, and corporate matters.

AirAsia Launches Cadet Pilot Program

MANILA, 24 July 2019 – Aspiring commercial pilots are being given the opportunity to study worry-free and without fees as part of a new AirAsia Cadet Pilot Program launched today in the Philippines.

Inked between AirAsia and Omni Aviation Corporation, the program provides successful cadets with up to two years of technical and leadership training, with the aim of reaching the competencies required by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. AirAsia and Omni will also use the program to design and assess flight situations cadets might encounter upon graduation.
