AirAsia India celebrates International Women’s Day

BENGALURU, 8th March 2018 - To commemorate International Women’s Day, AirAsia India will
be operating flights with an all-women cockpit and cabin crew on select flights on 8 March
2018. Flights i5 1982-1983 between Bangalore-Guwahati and i5 775-776 between Delhi-Goa will
be operated by all women crew. Flyers travelling on these routes will get a chance to be a part
of this experience offered by AirAsia India to mark the occasion. As a token of appreciation and gratitude, women flyers will receive special goodies from AirAsia on that day.

Speaking about the initiative, Amar Abrol, MD & CEO of AirAsia India said, “On this special
day I would like to welcome all women guests on board! With India having the highest number
of women pilots in the world at approximately 12%, we at AirAsia India hope to see many more
women taking to the skies. The bright red uniforms of our cabin crew are known across the
globe; but it’s their individuality that makes them stand out in a crowd. Our crew have no
boundaries in regard to their inflight appearance. They have the freedom to groom themselves
the way they like, experimenting with their hair, make up, nails and accessories. We believe
that’s when they look their best, get the confidence and feel at home while they’re on-board!
Kudos to all lady Allstars who’ve been a part of AirAsia’s growth journey in India!
