BAHRAIN, 7 December 2025 –  The AirAsia group of airlines have clinched a triple victory at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final 2025 in Bahrain, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s most influential and enduring brands in low-cost aviation.

AirAsia has once again been named the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline, marking its thirteenth consecutive year of global leadership. The airline’s cabin crew also continue their reign as the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the ninth time, a recognition of their dedication to service excellence in the skies. Meanwhile, AirAsia X (AAX) retained its title as the World’s Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its strength in redefining affordable long-haul travel.

These global honours come on the heels of AirAsia’s outstanding performance at the WTA Asia & Oceania Awards in October, where the Group secured multiple regional titles together underscoring the scale, consistency and momentum the airline continues to build across continents. Across the Group, these achievements reflect the spirit and drive of the Allstars who elevate the airline’s operations every day and the continued loyalty of guests whose confidence inspires the Group to push boundaries and set new standards in low-cost aviation.

Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X said: “We are both honoured and humbled to be recognised as the World’s Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline for the third consecutive year - a true testament to our dedication in upholding the high standards AirAsia X sets, as well as the  trust placed in us by more than 50 millions travellers and counting since 2007. In addition, our newly-launched routes to Tashkent and Istanbul have positioned AirAsia X for the next phase of global expansion into Central Asia and Europe, and we will continue elevating the long-haul low-cost experience whilst unlocking more global destinations for our trusted guests.”

Suhaila Hassan, AirAsia Group Head of Cabin Crew added: “Every Allstar who steps into our iconic uniform with pride owns a part of this victory. Their dedication and professionalism in the service they give on every flight are what make our guests feel welcomed and valued. This achievement celebrates not only the award itself, but the spirit, resilience and excellence that define us as one AirAsia family.”

Graham E. Cooke, Founder of World Travel Awards said: “Congratulations to AirAsia on an incredible triple win: ‘World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline’, ‘World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew’, and ‘World’s Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline’. Having carried nearly one billion guests since its inception, AirAsia continues to transform the travel experience through its extensive network spanning over 130 destinations across Asia, Australia and beyond, while constantly innovating its services. Looking ahead, the airline aims to expand into emerging markets in the Middle East and Central Asia, advancing its ambition to become the world’s leading low-cost network carrier.
