AirAsia has resumed operations on two direct international routes with inaugural flights from Bangkok Don Mueang to the Maldives and Phnom Penh of Cambodia today. The Don Mueang-Maldives sector has been registering a very healthy load factor average of over 85 percent and 70 percent for Phnom Penh, signifying strong pent up demand. As the airline welcomes guests onboard again for their year end holidays, AirAsia assures the most stringent health and safety measures are in place.

In a statement issued by GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation, operator of the MCIA, the initial closure of the airport until 1852H today 17 December will be extended until 0900H, 19 December, Sunday, to give way to immediate repairs of the damaged infrastructure and facilities.
